Staff Sergeant Travis Mills

Staff Sergeant Travis Mills served three tours of duty in Afghanistan as a member of the United States Army. In 2012, he was injured by an IED and lost portions of both arms and both legs. He is one of only five servicemen from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan ever to survive quadruple amputee injuries. After his remarkable recovery, he went on to create the Travis Mills Foundation, a nonprofit organization formed to benefit and assist wounded and injured veterans. Mills is also the author of “Tough As They Come,” a New York Times bestselling memoir that recounts his amazing journey, and a sought-after keynote speaker. He lives with his wife and two children in Maine.
